Position Description and responsibilities:

The company is seeking a Junior Product Developer (maternity cover) for Footwear & Accessories to ensure full support for the Outlet Product Development team. The Outlet Product Developers manage the sourcing, development, and production of all outlet collections across product groups. In this role, the Junior Product Developer will oversee system input, sample handling, and assist in product development tasks such as lab-dips, BOMs, and measurement charts. Responsibilities will focus on Footwear & Accessories, covering all related activities. Regular communication with the Outlet Buying teams, International Market buyers, Buying Offices, and Direct Vendors is expected.

Tasks: 

  • Maintain the PLM System, ensuring alignment with the Collection Line list across all production information.
  • Update and manage the Bill of Materials (BOMs) for all styles.
  • Support sample management by tracking received samples and following up on delayed ones with vendors.
  • Communicate daily with vendors, Buying Offices, and International Market buyers on product-related matters.
  • Review prototypes, Pre-Production Samples (PPS), lab-dips, and strike-offs, providing feedback to ensure they meet requirements.
  • Maintain close contact with the Buying team regarding product updates and developments.

Requirements:

  • Professional or educational background in garment production, processes, and systems.
  • Experience or internship in apparel development, sourcing, or production.
  • Education: Higher textile education (e.g., AMFI, De Maere, TMO, MTS Mode & Clothing, or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work precisely and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive with excellent communication skills, essential for daily interaction with Buying Offices, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Flexible and a team player.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
