About the job

The team:

The Global Store Design and Visual Experience department is responsible for providing consumers the most compelling store, SIS and showroom experience through concept design, visual merchandising and windows across all channels and markets. Working collaboratively with the APAC, Americas and EMEA regions, this central team delivers the strategy, concepts and tools needed for regional rollout. The Store Concept & Design team oversees the design and experience of physical consumer touch points including global retail & wholesale environments, working in close collaboration with the regional teams.

The position:

As a Specialist Concept Architect, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our stores and SIS concepts reflect our brand identity while meeting commercial objectives. Your role will encompass a blend of creative vision, technical expertise, and analytical thinking.

Tasks:

  • Collaborate with the Manager of Concept Architecture and other relevant stakeholders to ensure that store and SIS concepts align with brand values and commercial goals.
  • Provide architectural guidance and solutions for both interior and exterior designs, reviewing layouts and Detailed Design Packages (DDPs) to ensure adherence to brand standards and functional requirements.
  • Work closely with the store design team to develop and execute innovative design solutions for specific projects, including one-off fixtures or interior architecture designs for anchor or pinnacle stores.
  • Balance creative vision with technical feasibility, considering factors such as space utilization, materials, and construction methods.
  • Partner with interior and fixture designers to ensure seamless integration of concept directions from brief to delivery, maintaining consistency and quality throughout the design process.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in architecture and retail design, incorporating relevant insights into project development.
  • Actively participate in project meetings, providing input and expertise to support decision-making and problem-solving.

The ideal candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in architectural design, with a focus on retail or commercial projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp + Vray, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong understanding of retail environments, including store layout, fixture design, and customer flow.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to balance creative vision with technical constraints and commercial objectives.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality design solutions on time and within budget.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and project requirements in a fast-paced environment.
