About the job
The Department and Team
The Technical Development team develops and delivers both innovative and sustainable products, handling the entire technical development process from initial concept through to physical garments. Closely partnering with several stakeholders, from PD (Product Development), design & merchandising, through to the global team, the team pioneers high quality & product excellence, while delivering on company & divisional KPI’s.
The Position:
The ideal candidate is skilled & knowledgeable within technical development of apparel. He/she is responsible for supporting the creation and maintenance of block libraries and driving all new seasonal silhouettes developments across global supply base.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for achieving tech specific KPIs (e.g., fit improvement, grading projects, overdevelopment, and quality improvement).
- Leads fit meetings including capturing comments, changes & communicating these internally and externally.
- Information maintenance/data integrity: ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data in PLM (Product Lifecycle Management).
- Adhere to critical path, both internally and externally to support the development and production of the collection achieving on time for delivery at all stages of the process.
The Ideal Candidate:
- A bachelor/ master’s degree in fashion, garment technology, pattern cutting or equivalent experience in fashion, clothing or textiles industry.
- 3-5 years’ experience in Technical Product Development.
- Product knowledge of sweaters/ knitwear is must.
- Experience in PLM software is advantageous.
- Effective communication skills: inclusive team player, interdepartmental collaboration.
- Able to work in a highly productive, fast paced environment with a hands-on approach.
- Self-driven, pragmatic, and business mind set.
- Strong command of written & spoken English.
