About the job
Your job as a Senior Secretary:
As a Secretary, you will be responsible for providing essential administrative and organizational support to a diverse team of Tax Professionals. You’ll play a key role in managing travel arrangements, ensuring smooth project coordination, and acting as the first point of contact for secretarial needs. Additionally, you will oversee the training and coordination of the secretarial team, while implementing best practices in administration. Your main tasks will include:
- coordinating the work of secretaries and serving as the go-to contact for administrative matters.
- managing travel arrangements and ensuring compliance with internal travel policies.
- supporting project coordination, monitoring schedules, and liaising with internal stakeholders.
- maintaining databases, drafting contracts, and handling payment processes.
- assisting team managers and colleagues with various ad-hoc administrative tasks.
Your workplace
You will work in a collaborative and international environment within the Tax Knowledge Centre, alongside experts from various tax disciplines. You’ll report to the team managers, and work closely with team members across different departments. The team is diverse, and the atmosphere is professional, yet supportive, promoting growth and continuous learning. The Knowledge Centre consists of around 90 employees and is supported by a team of 3 secretaries.
What do you bring to the table?
You are an organized and proactive individual with a talent for prioritizing tasks effectively. Your strong communication skills, both written and verbal, enable you to handle a wide range of administrative tasks with precision. You are comfortable working independently and possess the following:
- a higher professional education level (HBO) or equivalent, ideally in secretarial or administrative support.
- at least 5 years of secretarial experience in an international environment.
- proficiency in office management software (Microsoft 365).
- fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- knowledge of legal or tax terminology is a plus.
