The Team
The Menswear Shirts team is responsible for sourcing and developing of the MSW Shirts collections on global scale. The MSW Shirts team works closely together, in an informal setting, with Design, Merchandise and Tech to create superbly styled and high-end quality products for an international consumer base.
The Position
The Senior Product Developer is responsible for the product development from sketch (created by Design / Merchandise) until final product coming out of production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for sourcing and development of the MSW Shirts Collection.
- Works with the offshore offices, vendors to control the status and changes to the styles, follows up on deadlines for proto samples, lab-dips, sales samples, size sets and production approval samples.
- Responsible for the maintenance of the garment worksheets and size specifications in close collaboration with Design and the Technical team.
- Travels to production facilities in Turkey, ISC and Asia to check status and quality of samples and developments.
- Takes a pro-active role in continuously improving the product in ways of quality, fit, sustainability, innovation and premiumization.
- Responsible for reaching the requested margin on the product and product group.
- Negotiates the best possible FOB per style. Has a deep understanding of pricing and understands the different components of cost.
The Ideal Candidate:
- A Shirt specialist, with (international) Shirt expertise.
- Education: higher textile education.
- Minimum 5 years working experience in sourcing and development for a Fashion Brand, ideally in woven categories.
- Used to working under pressure with deadlines. Is organized and structured.
- Ability to think out of the box, solution orientated and pragmatic.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiating skills.
- Solid expertise of fabrics and physical production.
- Hands on product mentality and good fashion taste level.
- Team player.
- Fluent in English.
